Junior Associate, Digital Media

Established in 2017 and headquartered in Halifax with additional associates in the Greater Toronto Area, we are first and foremost a regulatory professional services agency that provides extensive leadership support and solutions in organizational design and development, strategic communications, and executive recruitment.

THE ROLE

The Junior Associate, Digital Media supports the firm’s marketing and communications team with content development (articles, blog posts, social media posts, videos, presentations etc.), strategy development and deployment, client support and more.

Reporting to the Director of Communications Strategy, the primary functions of this role are to:

  • Collaborate with senior communications professionals to develop and execute client plans and strategies.
  • Assist in coordinating communication initiatives for both our firm and clients.
  • Create, edit, and seamlessly integrate content across our firm’s website, social media platforms, client newsletters, communication projects, and various other channels.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the RegulatoryJobs.org website.
  • Support social media initiatives for clients and the firm, including crafting engaging copy, monitoring platform performance, and implementing strategies to enhance online presence.
  • Update content and craft engaging blog posts for our websites.
  • Contribute articles to our quarterly sector digital magazine.
  • Support research efforts to inform and refine communication and marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with objectives and target audiences.
  • Continuously monitor and stay updated with current related sector and digital marketing trends and innovations.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • This role is open to recent (past 1-3 years) post-secondary graduates who have earned a degree or diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English or another relevant discipline.
  • Highly developed analytical and research skills.
  • Experience in social media strategy and content development.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Results-oriented, self-directed, outstanding organization and time management skills.
  • Self-starting, proactive and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • High-level EQ and gravitas.
  • Exceptional writing and other communication skills.
  • Ability to easily understand and navigate online technologies.
  • Proficiency or familiarity with digital marketing concepts and tools is preferred.
  • Hardworking, determined, and driven by potential.

CONDITIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT 

  • You must be located in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or New Brunswick.
  • You must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • You must be able to travel throughout Canada and abroad if necessary.
  • This is an entry-level position restricted to individuals with three or fewer years of direct experience in communications and digital media.

WORK MODEL

  • This position is remote; therefore, you must have a suitable workplace to carry out the duties of this role effectively.

 REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS

  • The starting salary for this role is $48,500 – $55,000 per year.  Health and dental, extended holidays, and an employee retention fund are included in the employment offer.
  • In addition to the annual salary, a health and dental benefits package is available after three months of successful employment of which the employer will pay 50%.
