CPA Alberta has offices in Edmonton and Calgary and provides hybrid Telecommuting opportunities (working from home a maximum of 3 days a week).

The Role

Reporting to the Manager of CPA Assist, the Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the CPA Assist Program, including the various in-person and online wellness initiatives and services that support the CPA Assist’s mission, strategic priorities, and operational plan. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and successful execution of CPA Assist’s in-person and virtual events, virtual conference, and webinars, including moderating and hosting webinar rehearsals and live presentations.
  • Research potential speakers or presenters, establish and maintain speaker relationships, and coordinate contracts, scheduling, and deliverables with presenters.
  • Analyze event success and provide reports to the CPA Assist Manager.
  • Work in collaboration with the marketing team to provide marketing and promotional support of events, materials, and health and wellness initiatives, including assisting with social media campaigns, email marketing, writing articles, and website updates.
  • Act as department point of contact and respond to internal and external inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
  • Serve, as necessary, as contact and liaison with other CPA Alberta departments or program stakeholders, including CPA Saskatchewan.
  • Build relationships and engage with members, key stakeholders, and departments in meaningful ways to increase awareness of the CPA Assist Program.
  • Support CPA Assist research projects, surveys, and data analytics which provide insight and foresight for program delivery.
  • Keep current on trends, best practices, resources, and guidelines regarding mental health and wellness issues, including attending continued learning/partnership events, and advise appropriate department members accordingly.
  • Support, and in some cases, lead the growth and development of operational processes for wellness solutions for the CPA Assist Program to support the needs of the membership in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Organize and implement administrative systems and procedures that are critical for supporting the CPA Assist Program’s day-to-day activities.
  • Provide additional support to the CPA Assist Committee and for Committee/Board meetings, as required.
  • Manage sponsorship requirements for CPA Assist initiatives.

Requirements

  •  3 to 5 years of directly related experience.
  •  A post-secondary Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline is an asset.
  •  A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  •  Passion for continued learning in the mental health and wellness space.
  •  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic website editing skills.
  •  Possession of a strong work ethic, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  •  Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  •  Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with proficiency in business writing.
  •  Strong presentation skills and comfortable hosting online events and managing online event platforms (Microsoft Teams/Zoom).
  •  Ability to use initiative and solve problems in a professional manner.

Working Conditions

  • Travel is expected for event support across the province and occasionally into Saskatchewan.
  • Some minimal moving of boxes at events may be required.
