About me

Following a successful career with the Royal Canadian Navy where I managed and developed large groups of people from diverse backgrounds as well as worked as a Research Analyst on behalf of the Office of the Special Advisor (Policy), I undertook a career in the financial services industry where I designed and implemented sophisticated financial plans for clients.

However, a desire to raise my family in Ontario led me to successfully obtain a position with the then “Law Society of Upper Canada” where I provided bilingual investigative, and legal analytical services for seven years until I joined my current employer, the Ontario College of Teachers (the "College"), in 2017, where I provided competent investigative, policy development, dispute resolution, and legal analytical services to the College until the beginning of 2023 when I was promoted into my current role as a Policy Analyst.

In my current role, my primary responsibilities centre around Research and Analysis of policy and legal issues, Project Management, Risk Analysis and Government Relations. I have also gained decision writing experience through my support of the Registrations Appeals Committee. Many of my projects centre around legislative, regulatory, and bylaw drafting on behalf of the College and in collaboration with internal and external education stakeholders, particularly the Ministry of Education.

In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering both at work and within the community as well as play a variety of sports in my spare time.

Given the opportunity, I would be pleased to further discuss my background with you, and how the skills that I have acquired over time will support your organizations broader objectives.
