I'm an HR and Operations professional who thrives in environments where no two days look the same — where payroll, people, compliance, and business operations all land on the same desk, and getting them right actually matters.
For the past five years, I've served as the operational backbone of a multi-entity group of companies in the insurance sector, reporting directly to the President and leading a team of four. My scope spans the full employee lifecycle — from recruiting and onboarding to offboarding — alongside end-to-end payroll processing across Ontario, BC, Alberta, Quebec, and the U.S., benefits administration, HR compliance, accounting operations, vendor management, and budget oversight.
What I bring that's harder to find in a generalist:
As a Generalist, I serve as the first point of contact for all employees and managers across the organization on anything HR — policies, employee relations, compensation questions, performance check-ins, leaves, benefit management and everything in between. I manage the complete employee lifecycle company-wide, from onboarding and offer rollouts through to offboarding and terminations. For the operations team specifically, I also own the full recruitment process — drafting job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and bringing the right people through to hire.
Payroll depth across jurisdictions: I manage multi-entity, multi-province payroll for salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees using ADP and Quickbooks, including year-end T4 processing, ROEs, garnishments, and full audit readiness across ESA, OHSA, AODA, and U.S. federal/state regulations.
Operational ownership: Since joining DGA, I've led the implementation of ADP-US and DocuSign, streamlined workflows across platforms including Bullhorn, HireEZ, and Slack, developed HR policies and process documentation from the ground up, identified and resolved compliance gaps before they reached audit stage, and renegotiated vendor and benefits contracts to bring costs down — all while keeping day-to-day operations running without disruption.
Finance and HR in one seat: I oversee AP/AR, bank reconciliations, EFT and wire payments, payroll funding, and budget tracking in QuickBooks — working directly with external accountants. I regularly evaluate vendors and benefits plans to drive cost efficiency without sacrificing employee experience.
