With a robust clinical foundation and over fourteen years of experience in nursing, I bring a unique and comprehensive perspective to healthcare regulation and professional conduct. I have served as a Regulatory Investigator at the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and Veritas Solutions, where I led complex investigations into professional misconduct, incapacity, and standards of practice violations. My work has consistently ensured public safety and upheld the integrity of the nursing profession.
Over the years, I have collaborated with multiple regulatory bodies across Canada, gaining in-depth knowledge of provincial healthcare legislation, professional standards, and investigative procedures. I manage high-stakes caseloads with a focus on detail, fairness, and evidence-based decision-making. My ability to interpret clinical documentation, conduct interviews, and write clear, defensible reports has positioned me as a trusted resource in regulatory enforcement and compliance.
I also participated in revising professional practice standards as part of a scope of practice workgroup, an opportunity that deepened my understanding of regulatory frameworks and best practices in nursing. This experience has strengthened my attention to detail, ethical decision-making, and advocacy for safe, accountable care. In addition, I contributed to the creation of the Internationally educated nurses Transition to Practice course that was implemented in Ontario in 2024.
Drawing on my diverse background in emergency nursing, mental health, primary care and surgical care, I bring clinical insight and objectivity to regulatory investigations, helping bridge the gap between frontline practice and professional accountability.
I am passionate about protecting the public and promoting excellence in nursing practice through fair, transparent, and thorough regulatory processes. My combined experience in frontline nursing and professional regulation allows me to approach investigations with clinical insight, integrity, and a deep understanding of professional standards. As I continue to support regulatory bodies across Canada, I remain committed to upholding the trust placed in our profession and advancing safe, ethical healthcare practices nationwide.
