Job Title:              Manager, Information Management & Data Protection

JOB PURPOSE

Leads and implements programs and services that support records management, business process mapping, and privacy and security. Act as CNO’s chief privacy officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the records management and business process mapping functions, including:
    • Developing the framework and process to create, update and archive organizational policies, procedures, and job aids.
    • Establishing and maintaining records and information management policies, standards, and processes; developing and administering quality control mechanisms to safeguard CNO’s records; collaborating across CNO to develop and deliver training for the use, access and preservation of CNO records.
    • Establishing and delivering services to map business processes as they relate to managing records and information, through consultation and collaboration with business units and IT.
  • Manages the privacy and security functions, including:
    • Establishing and administering privacy and security programs that include policies, standards and procedures to safeguard information assets; collaborates across CNO to develop and deliver training to enhance application of best practices; collaborates with teams to identify and integrate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Applying an enterprise perspective, acts as a collaborative steward to promote CNO’s organizational health; examples include participating in leadership forums or groups, contributing to operational planning, prioritizing, and budgeting processes, and promoting work community / cultural initiatives.
  • Identifies policy gaps, deficiencies and potential enhancements in relation to information management services; contributes to the development and implementation of policies and practices supporting the delivery of the team’s function.
  • Recommends and monitors the team’s budget, adjusting plans and programs as necessary; proactively identifies budget shortfalls and identifies and implements mitigating strategies.
  • Hires, trains, develops and evaluates employees accountable to the Manager in accordance with the policies of CNO and current best practices, building human resource capabilities and capacity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in information management or information services.
  • Relevant profession and leadership experience which includes responsibility for managing a corporate planning function within a similar sized organization and budget.

Hiring Range: $154,162 – $163,821

Full Salary Range: $154,162 – $184,994
