We are seeking Ontario residents (who are not registrants of the College or Council members) to serve as Community Appointees on the Election Committee. This is for an annual term beginning September 2024.
The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) regulates over 29,000 social service workers in Ontario, with an ongoing mandate to serve and protect the public interest. Established in 2000 under the Social Work and Social Service Work Act, 1998, we are accountable to the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.
The Election Committee is responsible for identifying and recommending qualified applicants for election to the College Council. We are specifically looking for individuals who:
